Beautiful Colors
Laney Martinez, Devin Truex, and Abraham Ramirez practice using manual settings on Monday, October 23, in Ms.Zavala’s Photography classroom. They played with their creativity while arranging the colors. “We enjoyed thinking outside the box in order to create the perfect shot,” said Ramirez. “Using manual settings is fun.”

Peace Out!
During Homecoming week students and staff celebrated the decades by dressing up like that decade. On Tuesday, people dressed up in the 70's theme. On Wednesday was the 80's; Thursday was the 90's and Friday was the 2000's.
Winning Smile

Do It Yourself
Freshman Natalie Alderete shows off her painted face and her DYI neon shirt for Neon Day at the high school on Friday, August 25. She plans to wear her DIY neon items at the football game later that day. Our Taylor Ducks played against the Waco Robinson Rockets at our new stadium. “It was a tough game,” Natalie said “but we will get them next time.”

The Magnifying Glass
Atlantis Mireles looks at how the light refracting through the magnifying glass enlarges her face on Thursday, September 19. The picture was composed using the golden mean. “The magnifying glass refracts the light," said Mireles "and makes the image look larger.”

Commercial Photography students learn the how to use different distances from our subject. Students had fun showing off their personalities and sharing beliefs. “There is always going to be peace in the world,” said Atlantis Mireles “if you make it happen.”

Spinning Illusion
Juniors Keyanah Cosme and Kaylee Estrada are captured through a prism causing the light to refract and create a really cool spinning illusion on Wednesday, September 12. “I really saw how life mixes together when looking through the kaleidoscopes," said Cosme. “All of this refraction,” said Estrada, “it really turned my thinking upside down.”

Students Follow Their Photography Path
Work it Girl!
Seniors Mekenzie Thronten and Elisha Hoeft portray the characters from the movie White Chick on Friday, September 7 during Twin Day. Students dressed as twins in anticipation of the Ducks’ game against Lockhart. At the pep rally students “whited out” the gymnasium by wearing white. In response to her costume, Hoeft said “It’s very feathery.”
